Blue Ruby Inn

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Patrick is a wonderful host. The location is great - right around the corner from Muddy Waters Cafe and within a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Highly recommend!

I loved this place!!. It is a beautiful old house with a collection of suites that are very generous in size. It is self service in that you check yourself in and it is a grab and go breakfast -/ so it lacks the engagement of a standard B&B but that is just fine. The walk downtown to the old Elizabeth city center is very short — and it is an interesting place to be! Nice, nice accommodation and a great location. It is also very reasonably priced for a B&B.

I have visited here 3 times, one week each. Very safe B&B, electronic locks all doors, walking distance to all of downtown. Patrick is a wonderful host, great breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Love staying here. John.

My husband and I arrived after riding bicycles from the Outer Banks. We are on a quest to finish cycling the Atlantic Coast. We were pretty tired and overheated when we got to the porch of the Blue Ruby since it was 89 degrees that day. Patrick greeted us and immediately went inside to bring us ice cold drinks. We also met Lacey, Patrick's beautiful dog who later showed us to our room with Patrick. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had a huge bathroom that had a jacuzzi and a shower. Everything was sparkling clean and had abundant towels and amenities. Once settled in, Patrick gave us a menu to circle what we would like for breakfast and what time we would like. He gave a list of local places that were favorites to go get dinner and checked on us to make sure everything was good. This is a wonderful B&B, and we are planning to return.

Our suite at the Blue Ruby was perfect. The check in process was easy, the room was nicely appointed with coffee, utensils, snacks; bathroom had all the essentials like shampoo, soap etc; and the bed was very comfortable. Our favorite was the access to the downtown gym—a real treasure. Plus, loved the gift card to Muddy Waters Coffee Shop. Thanks, Donnie, for taking care of us. We look forward to returning soon.

I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Ruby! The room was like a mini apartment with a sitting room, very sweet and cozy bedroom, and full bath with a jacuzzi tub. The owners were very welcoming and I truly felt as if I had a home while I was in town. I highly recommend the Blue Ruby!

Our stay here was terrific! EVERYTHING was fantastic from the awesome room, incredible decorated home, great location, cooked to order breakfast, all provided by Patrick and his cool dog Lacy. Patrick is a great owner and so welcoming! We absolutely loved it!

My husband & I stayed at the Blue Ruby Inn last week & found it to be very clean & quaint! The owner was responsive with a text message beforehand providing me with detailed information as to check in procedures which was much appreciated. We stayed in the First Floor Master Suite 1 which was very comfortable with a private living room, king size bed & spacious bath. Breakfast was grab & go which was fine by us. Would definitely stay there again next time we're in the area.
